Soviet Space

Russians were very good about commemorating every single success of their space program. Brilliant replicas of various monuments were crafted to desk size and given out as awards. Items made included Cosmonaut Busts, Pen and Cigarette Holders, Space Monument models, Space Lamps, Clocks, and the numerous commemorative Desk Models.

The first set of photos are desk models. You can see the many variations. The middle Sputnik model is actually a music box.

The lamps have some sligt variations as well - according to special award or mass production. They all light up giving fire underneath the rockets.

I WILL BUY YOUR SPACE MEMORABILIA!

Note: A photo does not necessarily mean I have acquired the item.

I collect all things Soviet Space, including Apollo Soyuz items. I also collect Russian Candy Tins, Russian Christmas Drums, Russian Postcards - all with space themes. Check out my Soviet Space page too!
