Help save the historic Flint Creek Bridge!

The only steel truss bridge left over Flint Creek is the first steel truss bridge ever built over Flint Creek.

This was the original oklahoma State Highway 33 and some maps is still marked as "Old Highway 33". The state later modified the road to pass over Flint Creek further South - it also had a steel truss bridge (but the trusses were not as tall).
That bridge came down in the early 80s and the state highway was eventually renamed US 412.
This bridge is a Warren Camelback variation of a Pony Truss bridge.
The Camelback variation is basically angled sections that were standardized to aid in bridge building.
Look at the bridge and find the original "Tennessee Steel" markings.
